TotemCollective and YOKE interaction design is the design team behind the interactive LED installation that can be seen during this coming weekend at the carbon neutral festival, CO2PENHAGEN. Through the installation, the designers show the visitors how technology and LED lights can be merged to create amazing visual effects.
The installation is a space at the forest area of the festival, where light and interactions meet. The trees will be lit up by the help of the visitors. A camera in a specific zone tracks the visitor’s movement. This movement will determine the lighting in the forest. This way the visitor will be guided through the light intensity and the specter of colors.
TotemCollective is a design agency founded by designers Christina Okai Mejborn and Line Langballe. Since 2008 they have been working on projects focused mainly on interaction and reflection. Among their work is a traveling exhibition across faculties in USA involving young design students to reflect on questions that lies in the discussions of design and copyright.

YOKE interaction design creates interactive experiences with a direct link to the physical world. Within the field of interaction design they are specialized in solutions, which divert from traditional interfaces such as mouse and keyboard. For example, using different sensors and camera tracking technologies they create experiences in which the user can communicate with a system via his/her movements - they call that physical interaction. This form of interaction has a very direct link between what the user does and how the system is affected. For more please visit www.yoke.dk
