CASE PRESENTATION, BOMBARDIER Bombardier and Sustainable Mobility
Anja-Maria Sonntag, Director Bombardier Transportation, will present the importance of sustainable design in trains and how Bombardier is at the forefront of rail sustainable innovation. As the world's number one supplier of rail equipment and services, Bombardier is pleased to be participating at the Copenhagen Design Week which brings together the leading sustainable designers from the world’s most dynamic cities. Bombardier's view is that it is our responsibility to maximize the positive impact of rail travel with innovative, reliable and environmentally sound products. This begins with design. Designing a product from the start ensures it is long lasting, recyclable, attractive and cost-effective for operators and more competitive with other modes of transport. More than 90 per cent of materials used on our trains are recyclable and our list of prohibited and restricted substances ensures that no harmful materials are used in our vehicles. As congestion in cities grows, Bombardier leads the way in designing and manufacturing trains that are good for the environment and continue to help cities breathe.
