FUTURE LIVING - BUILDING SUSTAINABILITY?

Monday 31 August 2009 12:30-17:00

Demonstrating how architecture can work with sustainability.

Sustainable architecture is on top of the agenda these years but there is still a long way to go. How can we learn from the good examples? And what are the challenges facing us if sustainability is to become an integral part of architecture, flows of material and people as well as urban planning? In light of these questions, we invite you to an afternoon discussion that will focus on sustainable architecture – now and in the future.

Key note speakers Georg Wolfgang Reinberg from Architekturbüro Reinberg (Austria) and Simon Guy from Manchester Architecture Research Centre (UK) will set the scene for a debate with international experts and practitioners. The discussion will be moderated by journalist Adrian Hughes.

The seminar will take place at the Danish Architecture Centre and is a collaboration between Velux and the Danish Architecture Centre’s Sustainable Cities™.

Sustainable Cities™
www.sustainablecities.dk is a database providing knowledge and inspiration on urban sustainable planning and best practise cases from cities all over the world.
